Execution of a Georgia Citizen.
WASHINGTON, Ga., Aug. 17.—Dillard HERNDON, a white man sixty years of age, was hanged here to-day for the murder of John LOVINGOOD, in October 1899. The drop fell at 1:30 o'clock, and in thirteen minutes HERNDON was dead. He was a well-known citizen of this part of the State. The purpose of the murder was said to have been robbery.
