Full Title: For the relief of Charles Smith of Wilkes county.
WHEREAS Charles Smith of Wilkes County became the security of John Darracott for the collection of Wilkes county tax for the year eighteen hundred and seven -- AND WHEREAS the Grand Juries of said county for the January and June terms of the year eighteen hundred and fourteen, and a number of respectable citizens of said county have petitioned the Legislature to release the said Charles from the force and effect of the said bond, and the said Charles having presented his petition for that purpose -- AND WHEREAS the said matter exclusively concerns the said county of Wilkes;
§ 1. BE it therefore enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the state of Georgia in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the Justices of the Inferior Court of Wilkes county be, and they are hereby authorised to release Charles Smith security for John Darracott, collector of the county tax of said county, from the tenour of his bond -- Provided they in their discretion think proper.
