Obituary of James Oliver Watson

James O. Watson, 82, of Jay died Sunday at a Pensacola hospital.

Mr. Watson was a native of Geneva County, Ala., but had resided in Jay for the past 53 years. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Watson of Jay; three sons, William H. Watson and Billy Claude Watson, both of Jay, and James Hugh Watson; a daughter, Opal Sowell of Brewton, Ala.; a brother Woodrow Watson of Jay; six sisters, Velva Freeman of Milton, Essie Holloway of Jay, Agnes Freeman of Tavares, and Ada Giddeon, Ruth Hutson and Virginia Watson all of Pensacola.

Funeral services will be 11 a. m. Tuesday in Cora Baptist Church with Elder Hubbard Bell, the Rev. J. D. Edenfield and the Rev. LaDon Hull officiaitng.

Burial will be at Cora Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home and will be placed in the church one hour prior to services.
