Obituary of Ann Powell
Ann passed away on December 3, 1999 at her home in Middleburg, Florida, surrounded by her family, and love, after losing a twenty month battle with cancer. She had been a Christian most of her adult life, so she was a winner anyway. She was of the Pentecostal Faith, and has left a legacy of faith and hope in her Lord.
Ann was born fifty-three years ago and raised in Anderson, SC, but spent most of her adult life in Middleburg.
Ann was preceded in death by her father and mother, Walter and Mellie Powell.
She is survived by her son, Grady Lunsford; daughter, Angie Ambrose; seven grandchildren, Heather, Cody, Nikki, Christy, Justin, Ashley, and Faith; and brothers and sisters Jack Powell, C.K. Powell, Sherman Powell, Lucille Smith, Ruby Jennings, and Barbara Giddeon all of Pensacola, FL, Henry Powell and Lois Powell of Anderson, SC, and Tommy Powell of Lincolnton, NC.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Porter, Ronny Porter, Wayne Cantrell, David Jennings, Ed Jennings, Marvin Giddeon and Keith Giddeon.
Visitation will be Sunday Dec. 5, 1999 from 6-8 pm at Holly Hill Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 6, 1999 at Holly Hill Chapel with Reverend Tommy Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
