Mr. Manwell was born Nov. 9, 1920, in Vancouver and lived in Clark County most of his life.

Mr. Manwell owned L & M Machine in Vancouver from 1960 to 1990.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette, at home; one daughter, Delores Anderson of Vancouver; two sons, Nick and Jim, both of Camas; one brother, Joe Mead of Lincoln City, Ore.; one sister, Doris Bracket of Olympia; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Manwell was a member of the Vancouver Lions Club. He was an avid fisherman.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethel Community Church in Washougal. Burial will be private. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
