A Navy veteran of World War II, James
Clifford Manwell died June 6, 2001, in
Vancouver. He was 80.
Mr. Manwell was born Nov. 9, 1920, in
Vancouver and lived in Clark County most of
his life.
Mr. Manwell owned L & M Machine in
Vancouver from 1960 to 1990.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette, at
home; one daughter, Delores Anderson of
Vancouver; two sons, Nick and Jim, both of
Camas; one brother, Joe Mead of Lincoln
City, Ore.; one sister, Doris Bracket of
Olympia; four grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.
Mr. Manwell was a member of the
Vancouver Lions Club. He was an avid
fisherman.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m.
Friday at Bethel Community Church in
Washougal. Burial will be private. Memorial
Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of
arrangements.
