Obituary of Velvie Watson Freeman
Mrs. Velvie Freeman, 87, of Milton, left her home on this earth to go to her Heavenly Home on Monday March 15, 1999.
Mrs. Freeman was born in Hartford, Alabama on July 4, 1911. Her parents were William Jefferson and Florence Adelia Watson. They moved to Jay, Florida in 1924. After they moved to Jay, she met Curtis Freeman who became her husband on March 26, 1932.
She was a member of the Pine Level Baptist Church in Jay, Florida
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Douglas Freeman, a grandson Michael Freeman and great-granddaughter Brittany Godwin.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Aubrey and Louis Freeman of Milton; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Jeanette and Joe Godwin of Century, Audrey and Wheeler Cook of Chumuckla, Helen and Terrel Clark of Milton; seven grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Buddy Watson of Jay; one sister, Virginia Watson of Pensacola.
Funeral services for Mrs. Freeman will be at 2:00 P. M. on Thursday March 18, 1999 at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Milton with Rev. Tim Shelton officiaitng.
Burial will follow in the Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
