     Stateside in the Spanish-American War.

Around 1930, Bill left Georgia in search of his brother Albert, who itis said, was a wanderer. Bill found himself in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Albert was nowhere to be found however.
It turns out the trip was in vain, for Albert was in Georgia the wholetime, two to three counties over.

On Jan 3, 1916, William moved his family to Anderson, SC to farm in cotton and corn.

Robert Lacy

      Funeral services for Robert Lee Lacy, 87, Decatur 1,
who died Wednesday at his residence will be 2 p.m.
Friday at the Shady Grove Baptist Church in Neel.
Rev. Jack Freeman officiating with burial in Johnson
Chapel Cemetery, Guntharp Funeral directing.
      Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Nancy Lacy,
Decatur 1; four daughters, Mrs. Luther Hampton,
Hammons [Hammond], Ind.; Mrs. Pete Stadham
[Steadham], Lacey's Spring; Mrs. E. E. Phillips,
Decatur 1; Mrs. C. E. White, Decatur; five sons,
Chester Lacy, Athens; Otho Lacy, Decatur 1; Jessie
Lacy, Hartselle; Odis Lacy, Danville; Bill Lacy, Georgia;
57 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren.
      Grandsons will be pallbearers.
      The body will remain at the residence until time for
services.
