     Enlisted in the CSA on 3-12-1862 at Beulien (Beulah?), GA, and was a private in Co., "G," 61st Regiment of the Georgia Volunteer Infantry. He was killed in battle near Winchester, VA, on 7-24-1864. He had been wounded at "Manassas" on 8-28-1862 and           was hospitalized during September, 1862, in Richmond, VA.
