Individual Note:
     LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF NANCY GULLATT

In the name of God Amen: I Nancy Gullatt of the county of Wilkes andthe State of Georgia being of sound and disposing mind and memory butafflicted in body and considering the certainty of death and now knowinghow soon it may come, concluded to make this my last will and testament.It is my will that my body be buried in a plain Christian manner andwhat property I possess I wish to be disposed of in the followingmanner.
Item 1st: I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Johnson and mydaughter Rachel Cato, my negro woman Malinda to be equally dividedbetween them, and I further desire that the said negro woman should besold but appraised at a reasonable price.
Item 2nd: Immediately, after my death I wish my other property consistingof household furniture to be sold. Out of the proceeds of said salethat my debts and burial expenses be paid and should there be anythingleft, I give and bequeath the same to my son George Gullatt.
Item 3rd: Unto my other children who are well provided for I pray theblessings of God.
Item 4th: It is my further desire that Alexander Johnson and ChristopherCato be my executors to carry this my last will and testament intoaffect. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this8th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eighthundred and fifty.

Individual Note:
     LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF PETER GULLATT III

In the name of God Amen. I Peter Gullatt of the County of Wilkes and theState of Georgia being of sound and disposing mind but sick in body andconsidering the certainty and uncertainty of the time it may come, haveconcluded to make and ordain this my last will and testament in wordsfollowing, viz.,

Item 1st: After all my just debts are paid I give and bequeath the wholeof my estate to my beloved Rachael Gullatt to hold and use during hernatural life in widowhood, and in the event she should marry I wish myestate equally divided between her and my two children George and RebeccaGullatt.
Item 2nd: It is my wish that the portion of my estate received by my wifeshall be only a life time estate and revert to my children or their heirsat her death.
Item 4th (no item 3rd): When either or both of my children arrive at fullage or should marry I wish my wife to give them whatever property she maychoose or can conveniently spare.
Item 5th: With the balance of my estate I give to my wife all debts dueme either by note or account or otherwise to be kept or used as thebalance of my estate. I hereby appoint my wife Rachel Gullatt and my sonGeorge Gullatt as my executrix and executor to carry this my last willinto effect. In witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed mysignature this 21st day of January 1853.
