|The Death of Lester E. Cantrell - part 4|
Vinson Moved To Hospital
Austin Doffice Vinson, 38, Rt 5, Seneca, charged with murdering Lester Cantrell, 47, 429 Horseshoe Bend, Anderson, was moved Thursday afternoon to State Hospital in Columbia for 30-days observation.
Sheriff W. J. (Bub) Erskine said the move was necessitated because of Vinson's condition. "He just went wild Wednesday night in his cell," Sheriff Erskine reported.
Vinson was carried to Anderson Memorial Hospital Wednesday night and given a sedative. However, Thursday morning he was still upset," Sheriff Erskine reported. He was carried to State Hospital yesterday afternoon.
Vinson was charged with the fatal stabbing of Cantrell after an inquest jury Wednesday returned a verdict holding him responsible for the July 5 death which took place in front of Anderson Memorial Hospital.
